Lisa Forsythe is Board Certified in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbalogy by the National Certification & Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Florida and earned her Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in Business Administration.
She completed training in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1996 by studying at the famous Xi Yuan Hospital in Beijing, China. Learning acupuncture in its birthplace offered an extraordinary opportunity to witness the power of this effective medicine.
Dr. Forsythe has 20+ years experience specializing in the treatment of all pain conditions, digestive disorders, respiratory/sinus conditions, arthritis, frozen shoulder and sports injuries. She treats side effects from cancer treatments and has helped patients reduce opioid dependency.
Dr. Forsythe hold special training in scalp acupuncture with world renown Acupuncture Physicians Dr. Jason Hao, Neuroacupuncture and Dr. Ming Qing Zhu, both leaders in Neuroacupuncture. Scalp acupuncture is proven the most effective for acute and chronic central nervous system disorders. Scalp acupuncture is frequently used in rehabilitation of paralysis due to stroke, MS, autoimmune/traumatic accidents and Parkinson’s disease. It is used in pain management originating from the central nervous system such as phantom pain, complex regional pain and residual limb pain. Scalp acupuncture has been proven effective in treating PTSD, TBI, Cerebral Palsy, autism, aphasia, vertigo, and Meniere’s disease, as well as other neurological conditions.
Dr. Forsythe is a member of the Florida State Oriental Medical Association. She practiced in Naples, Fl. for over 12 years before sailing the world as an acupuncturist on cruise ships for 5 years. She has treated patients from all over the world whilst introducing the benefits of this ancient medicine.
